Meet the founder.
Tara is the wild heart behind Gnarly Bison Wellness & Fitness—a visionary space where fierce grace meets whole-being transformation. With over 22 years of teaching experience, she’s guided thousands through movement, mindfulness, and emotional resilience across studios, gyms, retreats, and sacred spaces.
Her approach is rooted in soulful embodiment and radical inclusivity. Tara has taught people of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels—from first-timers to seasoned practitioners—always meeting them where they are and helping them rise.
She went to Eastern Connecticut State University for Sports Management and has spent decades deepening her craft through certifications, conferences, and immersive retreats.
Tara believes that movement is medicine, storms are sacred, and transformation begins within. Her classes are more than workouts—they’re rituals. Her coaching is more than guidance—it’s soul work.
She created Gnarly Bison Wellness & Fitness to help YOU reclaim your wildness, embody your strength, and rise with fierce grace.
Embrace the Storm. Become your fullest self.
“I want to collaborate with you to help you meet your wellness goals.
Begin to replace judgement with mindfulness, being aware of what you are doing as you are doing it. When things become challenging, don’t get discouraged. Remember that wellness, just like life, is a journey. There’s an ebb and flow to it. It’s not going to be easy… it’s not supposed to be. Most things in life worth fighting for are a challenge. It takes time and hard work. YOU are capable of so much. Don’t give up. Persevere. And get to a place of empowerment where you can thrive!
I want to see you flourish as the person God created you to be. Together, let’s invite the mess in and attack it with grace, not perfection. Join me on a journey of wellness, fitness, and family.”
